At Glebe House Cottages near Bude, we are very excited to announce Bridgerule’s first ever beer festival on the Devon/Cornwall border.
Between 12pm-9pm guests will be able to sample 9 local beers and 2 local ciders and we also have offerings of wine and prosecco, so we are sure there will be something to please everyone’s taste buds. There will also be a selection of food available throughout the day provided by Frankie’s Bites who specialise in American cuisine and The Cornish Pasty Co. who will provide the taste of Cornwall with their warm, freshly made, traditional pasties.
There will also be a children’s bouncy castle, a gladiator duel and live bands – so it’s fair to say, there really is something for all ages to keep all the family entertained!
Our bands are as local as you can get. FeedBack are from Launceston (25 minutes from Glebe House Cottages), Iguana Sunset are from Holsworthy/Bradworthy (15 minutes from Glebe House Cottages) and the Bridgerule Jammers are a local band from the Bridge Inn which is Bridgerule’s local, friendly pub.
The festival runs over 2 days, Saturday 26th May 2018 and Sunday 27th May 2018 and tickets are available to purchase via Jay by calling 01288 381272 or on the day. The price is £4 for adults and £2.50 for Children, but if you’re a guest at Glebe House Cottages you will receive free entry.
And before you ask, dogs are most welcome! Bring your dog and discover our beautifully-maintained gardens as well as enjoying the peaceful scenery surrounded by the rolling countryside hills that Devon has to offer.
We have sponsors who have kindly agreed to sponsor a beer or cider each. These are reputable, trusted companies that we have used, and they are all local to Devon or Cornwall. Several of them we have had personal experience of their work as during our recent renovations we had several skilled companies assisting us to make the cottages as luxurious as they are today.
