Frequently Asked Questions
What’s included in my booking?
We provide all bed linen and bath towels as well as heating and electricity throughout your stay. Although the accommodation is self-catering we do provide bin liners, toilet paper, kitchen roll, tea towels, dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid because we want to make your holiday as easy as possible. There will also be enough tea, coffee, milk, and sugar for everyone when you arrive but this is something you may have to top up through the week.
Do we accept well-behaved dogs?
Yes! We charge £25.00 for each dog. We have a 10-minute woodland walk which is very popular for guests with dogs. We ask for dogs to be on a lead within the formal gardens and when near the road and for guests to clean up after their dogs. We also ask for dogs not to go in the bedrooms or on the cottage furniture.
What time is check in/ check out?
The cottages are available from 3 pm on-wards, although you will be welcome to use the facilities on site sooner if you wish. We require guests to check out by 10 am on their departure date, this is so we and our cleaners have enough time to turn the cottages around for our next guests who may be arriving the same day. If you require an early check-in or late check-out please let us know before your stay and we will always try our best to accommodate your requests.
Are there any washing facilities?
There are coin operated washing machines and tumble driers available in the laundry room with an iron and ironing board. There also is an outdoor washing line.
What supermarkets deliver to Glebe House?
We can receive deliveries from all the main supermarkets including – Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Asda & Morrisons. If your delivery arrives here before you do we can accept the delivery in your cottage for you.
Directions
New and improved roads have considerably reduced the traveling time to the West Country. The fastest route is via the M5 to Exeter, then the A30 (signposted Okehampton) until the junction with the A3079 to Holsworthy, which joins the A3072 after Halwill Junction.
If traveling on the A3072 from Holsworthy towards Bude, take the first turning on the left after the golf course. This turn-ing is signposted ‘Bridgerule three miles’. Continue on this road to a T-junction in the village, turn left and Glebe House is on the right at the crest of the hill.
If traveling down the A39 towards Bude from the direction of Bideford, turn left in Stratton on to the A3072 signposted to Holsworthy. At The Red Post restaurant turn right on to the B3254 towards Launceston. After one and a half miles turn left signposted Bridgerule. Turn left at T-junction and pass straight through the village. Glebe House is on the right at the crest of the hill.
