Terms & Conditions

Deposit

  • A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total accommodation will be charged to your card immediately. The remaining 70% balance will be charged to your card 6 weeks before your stay. However, if the booking is made within 6 weeks of the commencement date, the full rental will be charged immediately.

Arrivals and Departures

  • Bookings are from 3.00pm on the day of arrival until 10.00am on the day of departure. Bookings in July & August run Saturday – Saturday.
  • Glebe House Cottages reserves the right to change the check in and check out times for any reason.

The Balance of Hire

  • Glebe House Cottages reserve the right to cancel the booking where full payment has not been received 6 weeks before the commencement date.

Cancellation

  • If you have to cancel your booking within 6 weeks of the commencement date as stated on your booking confirmation, you will be liable for the full balance. If we are able to re-book the property we may be able to refund part or all of your balance at our discretion.

Guest Behaviour

  • All our guests are expected to behave reasonably and courteously to other guests and to staff at all times and we reserve the right to refuse your custom or charge your card should your behaviour cause unacceptable loss of business to the hotel due to any disruption. Children and dogs are to be supervised in all areas, especially around the pool and children’s play area.
  • Prices are inclusive of electricity and timed heating where applicable.
  • Glebe House Cottages reserve the right to close any of their on site facilities (including swimming pool, tennis court, games room, children’s play area, fire pit, bbq’s, trampoline, woodland walk, formal gardens or any other facility on site) for any reason at any time. If we do have to close a facility we will not entertain any claims for a refund or discount.

Holiday Insurance

  • We strongly advise that Holiday Insurance is taken out as we will look to recover any costs due in the event of a cancellation. As we will not offer a refund or postponement if you are unable to stay with us for any reason.
  • The Hirer is responsible for the cottage and is expected to take all reasonable care of it. The cottage is thoroughly cleaned prior to the Hirer’s arrival and must be left clean and tidy at the end of the hire period or an extra cleaning charge of £50 may be levied.
  • If you develop symptoms of Covid-19 during your stay, we ask that you and your party inform us, and return home immediately. We would strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance as we are unable to entertain any claims for a refund or discount in these circumstances. Any guest who chooses to self-isolate beyond the length of their stay with us, will be liable to reimburse Glebe House Cottages Ltd for any and all costs incurred for cancelling stay’s of future guests. This includes the cost of re-accommodating these guests elsewhere as well as offering a full refund to these guests.

Damage

  • You are responsible for any damage or loss caused to us or our property by your act, omission, default or neglect and you agree to indemnify us and to pay Us on demand the amount reasonably required to make good or remedy any such damage or loss.
  • Damage Deposit of £100 per cottage may be payable on large parties renting more than two cottages – this will be taken on arrival.

Cars and Personal Belongings

  • Baggage and personal belongings are at the Hirer’s risk at all times. No responsibility can be accepted for loss or damage to motor cars and personal effects.

Size

  • No more than the maximum number of persons as stated for the cottage is permitted unless agreed by prior arrangement.
  • Cots & high chairs are available free of charge by prior arrangement and all cottages have fixed stair-gates. Adults are responsible for children’s safety and behaviour throughout the premises.

Bed Linen

  • Provided in the form of duvet covers, bottom sheets and pillow cases. Towels are provided but not beach towels. Beds will be made up. Extra changes of bed linen will be charged at £15 per change.

Dogs

  • We will happily accept up to three well behaved dog at a charge of £25 per dog per week, but this must be by prior arrangement. The dog must be kept on a lead at all times and the owner will be responsible for clearing up after their dog. Dogs must not be left unattended at any time in the cottage or grounds.Glebe House Cottages Ltd reserves the right to decline accommodation and demand the immediate withdrawal of any persons or dogs behaving in a manner detrimental to the property or comfort of other guests.

Smoking

  • We have a No Smoking policy inside each cottage.

Fire Extinguishers

  • These are provided in the kitchen area and Hirers should locate them and identify the means of escape in the event of a fire, as soon as they arrive. If for any reason beyond the owners control (e.g. fire damage), the property is not available on the date booked, all advance payments will be refunded in full and the hirer shall have no further claim against Glebe House Cottages Ltd.
  • Glebe House Cottages Ltd undertake to repair or replace any faulty equipment with all due diligence. However, no claims will be entertained in respect of equipment which remains faulty for reasons beyond our control.

Data Protection

  • By making a booking you consent to the processing of the information provided by you to us as required. We may contact you from time to time with details of special offers etc but will not release your details to any other party. If you do not wish for this to happen please let us know.
